How do I create a capture?
This article explains how you can create captures in the Udo app.
This article will teach you how to create four different kinds of captures:
- Dual video camera: A video using the front and back cameras simultaneously.
- Video camera: A video using a single camera.
- Photo: A photo using a single camera.
- Text: A text message through typing or speaking.
To begin, tap the Capture button from the Hub. Tap one of the four available capture options.

Recording a dual video camera capture (only available for iPhone models XR or later)
- Tap the dual video option. The dual video uses both your front- and back-facing cameras in a split-screen view.
- Tap the Switch icon to swap the split-screen camera view.
- When you’re ready, tap the Capture button to start recording; tap the Capture button to end recording.
- If you want to re-record your video, tap the red X; if you're happy with your video, tap the green check.
- Enter a capture title and optional notes, for future reference, if desired.
- Tap Upload. Note: Be sure to keep the app open while the video is uploading.

- If your capture is attached, it will be uploaded to the patient case.
- If your capture is unattached, it will be uploaded to the File Manager.

- Tap Upload.

Creating a Text capture
- Tap the text message option.
- Tap in the text box and type your text message into the text box; or tap the microphone icon to dictate your message.
- Tap the Capture button once your message is complete.
- Enter optional capture title and notes, for future reference, if desired.
- Tap Upload.
